Wheeling Central Catholic 45, Williamstown 38
Charleston -Trailing 20-14 at the break, the Maroon Knights rallied in the second half for a 45-38 win over Williamstown in the Class AA quarterfinals Thursday night.
No. 4 Central Catholic used a balance scoring effort in the win with Eli Sancomb and Troy Anthony scoring 11 points each. Quinton Burlenski added 10 points and Max Olejasz grabbed 10 rebounds.
Cruz Isaly had a game-high 14 points for the No. 5 seeded Jackets.
Wheeling Central will now play No. 1 seed Bluefield Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the AA semifinals.
