Beckley 5, Fairmont Senior 2
Fairmont – Beckley traveled to East-West stadium Thursday night and knocked off Fairmont Senior 5-2 for its second win in a row.
The Flying Eagles had three first half goals, the first coming in the 19th minute by Tyler Randolph, assisted by freshman Hagen Hall.
Five minutes later Tyler Snyder scored on an assist from Michael Fayaih.
Ishmael Fayiah scored an unassisted goal just before the half and added a second goal early in the second half off a rebound from Coby Dillon.
Michael Fayiah rounded out the scoring for Beckley who returns home Saturday to host Brook at 11 a.m.
Mercer Christian 5, Kings Warriors 0
Princeton – Eli Patton and M.J. Patton each scored a pair of goals and an assist Thursday to lead Mercer Christian past Kings Warriors 5-0.
Toby Bailey also had a goal and Micah Maurer had two assists for the Cavaliers (1-3) who picked up their first win of the young season.
Karis Trump had five saves in goal for Mercer Christian who hosts Bluefield Monday at 5 p.m.
Tuesday game
Greenbrier East 6, Oak Hill 1
Fairlea – Ian Gadd recorded a hat trick Tuesday to lead Greenbrier East past Oak Hill 6-1 in a key sectional showdown.
Dawson Trusty and John Withrow each had a goal and an assist for the Spartans, while Parker Hill also found the back of the net.
Greenbrier East (2-0-1) hosts South Charleston Saturday at noon. Oak Hill also plays Saturday when it travels to Ripley.
