Charleston Catholic 52, Trinity Christian 39
Charleston -Charleston Catholic built a 17-point lead through three quarters and went on to defeat No. 7 seed Trinity Christian 52-39 Thursday in the Class AA semifinals of the boys state tournament.
Jayallen Turner and Zayden Ranson both had double-doubles to lead the No. 2 seeded Irish. Turner scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, while Ranson had 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Max Wilcox added 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
Chayce Adams paced the Warriors with 14 points and Carter Hartsock scored 13. Ben Lohmann grabbed 12 rebounds.
Charleston Catholic will play No. 6 Ravenswood Friday night at 9 p.m. in the AA semifinals.
