Charleston – Morgantown scored the final seven points of Saturday’s Class AAAA state championship game, breaking a 58-58 tie to secure its second consecutive state championship with a 65-58 win over Parkersburg South Saturday morning in the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
The Mohigans placed three in double figures with Brody Davis’ 18 points leading all scorers. Sha-Ron Young (17) and Izzy Everrett (14) joined Davis in double figures with Young producing a near triple-double with 10 rebounds and nine assists.
Cyrus Traugh led South with 16 points in the loss.
