Charleston – Parkersburg South shot 50 percent from the floor in the first half of Thursday’s Class AAAA semifinals, cruising to an 87-66 win over Jefferson in the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
With the win Parkersburg South returns to the Class AAAA title game for the second consecutive season where it will face the winner of Morgantown-Huntington on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
The Patriots led 47-30 at the half and were never truly threatened in the second half.
Cyrus Traugh led the assault for the Patriots with 25 points while Austin Reeves scored 20. The Patriots finished the game shooting 57 percent from the floor while picking up 17 more points form the free throw line.
Jamari Jenkins led Jefferson with 21 points in the loss while Will Shively netted 13.
