FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Bridge Day 2024 has concluded following a Saturday afternoon of ideal weather conditions and community fun.
Mountain State natives and out-of-state visitors alike flocked to the New River Gorge Bridge this weekend to partake in the annual festivities that come along with Bridge Day each year.
Vendors lined roadway offering everything from crafts and decor to food, drinks, and everything in between. Local organizations such as Visit Southern WV, Jan-Care Ambulance Service, New River Community and Technical College, and many more could be seen offering services and information to those in attendance.
Hundreds of thrill-seekers came out to make the jump from the bridge from which the yearly event, in its 45th iteration this year, takes its name.
The proceedings ran from 9:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday as busses shuttled attendees to and from pickup and drop-off spots as a means of facilitating the flow of traffic to accommodate the immense influx of individuals present.
Fueled by Monster Energy and supported by local and state law enforcement, as well as the West Virginia Army National Guard, the 45th Annual Bridge Day event saw excellent attendance and undoubtedly left attendees excited for the return of the anticipated event next year.
