MEADOW BRIDGE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A burglary investigation in Summers County has led authorities to uncover a theft operation involving multiple suspects, with one man now facing multiple felony charges.
West Virginia State Police responded to a possible burglary on North State Route 20 after the property caretaker discovered several stolen items, including power tools, ATVs, and firearms. Smith reported that a shed, garage, and single-wide trailer on the property had all been broken into, with losses exceeding $1,000.
During the investigation, a witness provided key information, identifying Garry Wayne Martin Jr. and three others—Joe Angle, Pat Gunter, and Carter Walton—as being involved in the burglary. She claimed Martin had expressed frustration over receiving less dope than promised in exchange for stolen ATVs and had attempted to dispose of evidence.
Authorities have since recovered some of the stolen property and are seeking a warrant for Martin’s arrest on charges of Burglary, Breaking and Entering, Grand Larceny, and Conspiracy. The investigation is ongoing.
