DAVIS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Timed to coincide with the peak brilliance of the fall foliage in Tucker County, Canaan Valley Resort will host the annual “Walk Between the Parks” event on Saturday, October 7.
“We’re projected to have a gorgeous leaf display this fall and our Walk Between the Parks event is a perfect way for individuals and families to experience it,” said Matt Baker, Canaan Valley Resort general manager.
The eight-mile walk between Canaan Valley Resort and Blackwater Falls State Park immerses participants in the gorgeous scenery of the highest mountain valley in the Eastern U.S. At the halfway point of the hike, guests will be treated to a cookout lunch. Additional activities, like the “Walk-a-Mile” contest and shorter, interpretive walks, will also be offered by Blackwater Falls State Park.
The event registration fee ($25 for adults; $15 for children 6-12) includes an event memento, cookout lunch, and shuttle service. Participants for all events are encouraged to bring their own water and snacks.
Pre-registration for all events is recommended by calling Canaan Valley Resort at (304) 866-4121 or by visiting the website at www.CanaanResort.com.
