A new Mighty Shine Express Car Wash and shopping center is coming to the former MacArthur Skating Rink location.
The MacArthur Skating Rink closed during the COVID-19 pandemic and never reopened and was demolished in 2022.
Now, fast forward to 2024, the vacant lot will soon become home to multiple businesses.

The Mighty Shine Express Car Wash with locations in Beckley, Lewisburg, and Ripley, will open a new location at the former location of the skating rink.
The car wash will serve as the anchor store for a new shopping area. The businesses that will be in the new shopping area have yet to be confirmed.
Construction of the new car wash is underway now. They plan to be open by the end of the year.
