CASS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Officials at Cass Scenic Railroad have announced the date of the 2023 Parade of Steam which will take place at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park.
The 2023 Parade of Steam will take place on June 17, 2023, at 10 AM at the main parking lot.
Admission to the parade is free for everyone and attendees will have the opportunity to view all of Cass Scenic Railroads’ operable, steam locomotives, from the Cass parking lot as they move down the rails.
The legendary locomotives will begin staging at the Cass Depot at 9:30 AM and the parade will officially begin at 10:00 AM and last for about an hour. Below is a video from the 2022 Parade of Steam.
The Rail & Trail Store located inside the Cass Depot will be open throughout the day for souvenirs including Parade of Steam merchandise.
The engines will be operated by engineers with the Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad. The Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad offers Mountain Rail Adventures in the east-central mountains of West Virginia.
