With all of the Week 10 action wrapped up it’s time to pick a Player of the Week, sponsored by Bodyworks and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele.
Here are the candidates.
- Peyton Greer (PikeView) – For the second straight week Greer was stellar, tossing four touchdowns again to go with 216 yards passing. Greer also ran for 58 yards in a win over River View.
- Tony Bailey (Mount View) – Bailey ran the ball five times for 104 yards and a touchdown, helping Class A No. 4 Mount View to a 51-0 win over Class AA Westside.
- Dustin Adkins (Meadow Bridge) – Adkins completed 14 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns, tossing the game-winner with 1:40 left in regulation as Meadow Bridge kept its playoff hopes alive in a 22-14 win over No. 15 Sherman.
- Nate Grayton (Beckley) – Grayton scored three rushing touchdowns and once more on a punt return as the Flying Eagles pounded rival Oak Hill 49-10 to remain in the playoff race.
- Josh Dickerson (Midland Trail) – In a muddy contest Dickerson completed five passes for 124 yards and three touchdowns as the Patriots remained alive in the playoff race.
- Jacob Showalter (Shady Spring) – Showalter scored the winning touchdown on a botched snap as Shady Spring kept its playoff hopes alive with a 29-26 win over Liberty. He also caught two passes for 95 yards and a touchdown.
- Drake Cole (Summers County) – Cole exploded for 249 yards and two scores to help Summers County to its second win of the years, a 46-0 victory over Richwood.
- Judah Price (Independence) – Price only carried the ball four times but scored on three of them, piling up 114 yards as Independence capped an undefeated regular season with a 60-8 win over Wyoming East.
- Kaleb Clark (Nicholas County) – Clark was steady again, carrying the ball 29 times for 221 yards and two scores as the Grizzlies defeated Class A No. 7 James Monroe 25-7 Friday in Summersville.
- Ian Cline (Greenbrier East) – Cline continued his scorching stretch, carrying the ball 26 times for 146 yards and two scores as the Spartans beat No. 7 Princeton and moved into position to host a playoff game.
