The Lootpress Player of the Week Award sponsored by Mid-State Ford, Little General, Dutch Miller and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele, has returned for a third year.
Below are the candidates for the 11th and final week of the girls basketball season. Voting will close Wednesday, Feb 21 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here

Week 8 had two winners as weather led to the postponement of most games throughout Week 7.
- Abby Persinger, Summers County – Persinger scored 17 points to lead Summers to a win at Chapmanville.
- Harmony Mills, Independence – Mills scored 18 to pace Independence in a win.
- Taysia Gray, Oak Hill – Gray scored 14 in a win over Greenbrier West.
- Preslee Treadway, Greenbrier West – Treadway netted 23 in a loss to Oak Hill.
- Haley Justice, PikeView – Justice scored 18 points and hauled in 15 rebounds in a win over Midland Trail.
- Abi Baker, Wyoming East – Baker scored 14 to help East win its regular season closer at Greenbrier West.
- Kennedy Stewart, Greenbrier East – Stewart scored 10 for East in a win.
- Kaitlyn Lester, Westside – Lester netted 21 points in a win over Man.
- Jayla Barnhouse, Midland Trail – Barnhouse scored 15 in a win over Clay County.
- Kayley Trump, Mercer Christian – Trump earned WVCAT MVP honors, leading the Cavaliers to their third straight WVCAT title.
