Cast your vote for the Week 6 Girls Basketball Player of the Week

The Lootpress Player of the Week Award sponsored by Mid-State Ford, Little General, Dutch Miller and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele, has returned for a third year.

Below are the candidates for the fifth week of the girls basketball season. Voting will close Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here

In order for a player to be eligible or nominated, the stat keeper or coach must report all scores and statistics. Scores can be reported to Tylerjackson@lootpress.com and Rustyudy@lootpress.com.

Abby Persinger, Summers County – Persinger broke double figures three times, scoring 23 in a win over Nicholas County.
Kennedy Stewart, Greenbrier East – Stewart helped East to a pair of wins, scoring 21 points in a win over Beckley.
Cara Brown, Bluefield – Brown scored 15 against Mount View.
Kayley Trump, Mercer Christian – Trump finished in double figures three times with a week-high 33 points.
Maddie Stull, Princeton – Stull scored 15 points for the Tigers in a comeback win against PikeView.
Maddie Clark, Wyoming East – Clark finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds in a win over No. 4 Summers County.
Harmony Mills, Independence – Mills finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds against Shady Spring.
Maggie Boroski, James Monroe – Boroski finished with 20 points and 8 steals in a win over Pocahontas County.
Cat Farmer, PikeView – Farmer scored 22 in a comeback win against Westside.
Kiersten Rozelle, Meadow Bridge – Rozelle scored 18 twice in a pair of Wildcat wins.
