Below are the candidates for the eighth week of the boys basketball season. Voting will close Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here

Week 7 had two winners as weather led to the postponement of most games throughout Week 6.
- Braxton Morgan, Wyoming East – Morgan hit the game-winning shot in Wyoming East’s upset of No. 1 Williamstown, finishing with 13 points.
- Kam’Ron Gore, Bluefield – Gore scored at least 20 on three occasions, including 20 against Charleston Catholic in a Class AA clash.
- Kaiden Vance, Westside -Vance scored 21 points in a win over West Logan.
- Brandan Isaac, Summers County – Isaac broke 20 twice with 27 and 29 points in a pair of wins.
- Brayden McClung, Greenbrier West – McClung borke 20 three times with a high of 34 points against Meadow Bridge.
- Ryan Cole, James Monroe – Cole scored 20 and 16 points in a pair of wins.
- MJ Patton, Mercer Christian – Patton scored 31 in a Mercer Christian win.
- Ammar Maxwell, Shady Spring – Maxwell poured in 23 in a win against Princeton
- Jared Vestal, PikeView – Vestal scored 16 points in a win over Nicholas County.
- Payton Bailes, Midland Trail – Bailes scored 29 in a win against Greater Beckley.
- Keegan Davidson, Greater Beckley – Â Davidson scored 32 in a loss against Midland Trail and 21 against James Monroe, nailing the game-winning free throw.
- Elijah Redfern, Beckley – Redfern scored 22 points in win at Oak Hill.
- Nik Fleming, Princeton – Fleming scored 20 in a win against PikeView on senior night.
- Grant Russell, Richwood, – Russell broke 20 points twice, scoring 29 in a loss to Man.
