HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Chicago man has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine in Huntington, West Virginia.
Edmund Omar Johnson, 45, also known by the aliases “Chicago” and “Polo,” received the sentence on Monday, June 23, 2025, in U.S. District Court. In addition to the prison term, Johnson will serve three years of supervised release.
According to court records, Johnson sold approximately 865 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant on June 30, 2024.
The drug transaction took place at a residence on Fourth Avenue in Huntington. Johnson admitted in court to arranging the sale in advance.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office.
Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa G. Johnston announced the sentence and praised the efforts of law enforcement. United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers presided over the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorneys Courtney L. Finney and Joseph F. Adams handled the prosecution.
