The Lootpress Player of the Week Award sponsored by Mid-State Ford, Little General, Dutch Miller and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele, has returned for a third year.
Below are the candidates for the fourth week of the girls basketball season. Voting will close Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here
In order for a player to be eligible or nominated, the stat keeper or coach must report all scores and statistics. Scores can be reported to Tylerjackson@lootpress.com and Rustyudy@lootpress.com.
- Cadee Blackburn, Wyoming East – Blackburn averaged 22.3 points per game as Wyoming East earned a trio of wins over Top 10 teams.
- Haley Justice, PikeView – Justice averaged 9.7 points per game with a 20-point, 15-rebound showing against Graham.
- Maggie Boroski, James Monroe – Boroski was good for 21 a game in four games for the Mavs.
- Gracie Harvey, Summers County – Harvey averaged 16.5 points for game for the Lady Bobcats who went 1-1 to open the season.
- Preslee Treadway, Greenbrier West – Treadway’s scoring tear led her to average 27 a game in a 3-1 start for the Cavs.
- Rumor Barnhouse, Midland Trail – Barnhouse averaged 12 points a game to help the Patriots overcome a key injury.
- Lacey Goodson, Independence – Goodson averaged 20 a game to start her career.
- Kaitlyn Lester, Westside – Lester was good for 12.7 a game to open the season for Westside.
- Kennedy Stewart, Greenbrier East – The sharpshooter averaged 17.2 points per game across four games with a high of 29.
