The Lootpress Player of the Week Award sponsored by Mid-State Ford, Little General, Bodyworks and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele, has returned for the second year.
Below are the candidates for the 10th week of the girls basketball season. Voting will close Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here.
In order for a player to be eligible or nominated, the stat keeper or coach must report all scores and statistics. Scores can be reported to Tylerjackson@lootpress.com and Rustyudy@lootpress.com.
- Cadence Stewart, Greenbrier East – Stewart averaged 20.5 points per game, scoring a season-high 40 points in a win over Mercer Christian Saturday.
- Harmony Mills, Independence – Mills scored 33 points across two games including 21 in a win.
- Gracie Harvey, Summers County – Harvey averaged 17 points per game, helping the Lady Bobcats to a 3-0 record. That included wins over Class AAA No. 10 PikeView and Class AA No. 1 Mingo Central.
- Haley Hunnicutt, James Monroe – Hunnicutt scored 16 points and stole seven passes as the Mavericks picked up an impressive 62-52 win against Class AAAA Greenbrier East.
- Kierston Rozell, Meadow Bridge – Rozell averaged 16.6 points per game for the Wildcats this past week.
- Kayley Trump, Mercer Christian – Kayley Trump averaged 21.6 points per game this week for the Crusaders.
- Cadee Blackburn, Wyoming East – Blackburn scored 60 points across two games including a 36-point performance against Greenbrier West.
- Addy Isaacs, Midland Trial – Isaacs averaged 23.5 points per game for the Patriots who went 2-0 this past week.
- Riley Meadows, PikeView – Meadows averaged 16 points per game for the Panthers who finished the week 1-1.
