The Lootpress Player of the Week Award sponsored by Mid-State Ford, Little General, Bodyworks and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele, has returned for the second year.
Below are the candidates for the fourth week of the prep baseball season. Voting will close Friday, April 21 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here.
If the the top vote getter has already won a community choice poll, the next leading vote getter who has not won will be named that week’s community choice winner.

- Davis Rockness, Bluefield – Rockness batted .556 with 10 hits and seven RBIs during a 4-2 week for the Beavers.
- Brayden Kiblinger, Independence – Kiblinger batted .500 for the Patriots during their trip to Myrtle Beach.
- Brayden McClung, Greenbrier West – McClung batted .636 with seven hits and three RBIs last week.
- Xander Hudgins, Summers County – Hudgins batted .467 with a home run and a team-high nine RBIs for the Bobcats last week.
- Jacob Howard, Wyoming East – Howard batted .500, drove in three runs and swatted a home run for the Warriors last week.
- Larry Bigham, Midland Trail – Bigham scorched the ball, batting .692 with 8 RBIs. He also went 1-0 on the mound, striking out 18 batters in seven shutout innings.
