The Lootpress Player of the Week Award sponsored by Mid-State Ford, Little General, Bodyworks and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele, has returned for the second year.
Below are the candidates for the seventh week of the girls basketball season. Voting will close Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here

- Kayley Trump, Mercer Christian -Trump was good for 23 points pr game as the Cavaliers finished the week 2-1 with a win over James Monroe.
- Riley Meadows, PikeView – Meadows averaged 18 points per game as the Panthers finished the week with a 3-0 record, recording a rivalry win against Princeton.
- Cadee Blackburn, Wyoming East – Blackburn helped East fend off No. 3 Summers County and No. 10 Charleston Catholic, averaging 17.5 points per game.
- Mary Beth Meadows, James Monroe – Meadows was good for 11.3 point per game in a 2-1 week for James Monroe. She notched a double-double early in the week with 10 points and 10 steals.
- Preslee Treadway, Greenbrier West – Treadway scored 16 points for West which won its only game this week.
- Kierston Rozell, Meadow Bridge – Rozell scored 16 points in wins against Van and Independence.
