The Lootpress Player of the Week Award sponsored by Mid-State Ford, Little General, Bodyworks and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele, has returned for the second year.
Below are the candidates for the ninth week of the girls basketball season. Voting will close Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here.
In order for a player to be eligible or nominated, the stat keeper or coach must report all scores and statistics. Scores can be reported to Tylerjackson@lootpress.com and Rustyudy@lootpress.com.
- Maddie Clark – Clark averaged 16.3 points per game this past week as Wyoming East went 2-1 with a pair of wins over ranked Class AAA foes PikeView and Nitro.
- Avery Lilly, Summers County – Avery Lilly shined in the Lady Bobcats’ only game this week, scoring 18 points in the victory.
- Austyn Barnes, Shady Spring – Barnes scored 14 and 17 points in back to back contests as Shady picked up a pair of wins over county foes Liberty and Independence.
- Preslee Treadway, Greenbrier West – Treadway had a monster week with a 29.5 ppg average across two games including a big upset win over Webster County.
- Harmony Mills, Independence – Mills helped Independence split this week with a 19 point, 10 rebound performance in a win.
- Kierston Rozell – Rozell averaged 13 points per game, helping Meadow Bridge go 1-1.
- Riley Meadows, PikeView – Meadows averaged 13.5 points per game this week, helping the Panthers avenge a loss to Westside.
- Cadence Stewart – Stewart averaged 16.5 points per game as Greenbrier East went 1-1 at the Battle for the Springhouse with a win over Nitro.
- Addy Isaacs, Midland Trail – Isaacs led the Patriots to a 3-0 record with a 24.3 points per game average.
- Trista Lester, River View – Lester scored 21 points twice and crossed the 1,000 point plateau for her career this week, earning a big win over James Monroe.
