BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Beckley has announced the next Comprehensive Plan public meeting for the city, which will be held next month.
The walk-through style event will be held at the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center and participants/community members will be welcome to arrive at any time between 5:00pm and 7:00pm to provide input in the direction of the city.
The Comprehensive Plan itself is a document which serves as a guide for the future development of the community through land use regulations, transportation planning, zoning, and government-funded projects. The plan is put in place to ensure continued and sustainable development and growth for the city.
Key components of the plan, according to an announcement from the city, include transportation, housing, recreation, economic development, public services, historic preservation, financing renewal and redevelopment, and more.
