BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Beckley has launched a survey to gather community input in the selection of its first City Manager.
Retaining the services of Baker Tilly for this purpose, the city aims to gather feedback from stakeholders on the desired experience, management style, and leadership qualities they wish to see in the future City Manager.
The survey, open to all community members, will be used as part of the criteria for selecting finalists who will undergo further vetting and possible interviews by the City Council and Search Committee.
According to the city’s announcement, the results of the survey will be shared with both the Search Committee and the City Council to aid in their decision-making process.
The city highlighted that no names or email addresses will be disclosed to ensure confidentiality.
However, the city plans to publicly disclose the number of participants and the aggregated results of the survey.
Community members are encouraged to participate in the survey, which must be completed by July 26, 2024, to have their voices heard.
The survey may be found here.
