COVINGTON, VA (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Covington has issued a public notice regarding upcoming construction at the entrance to the Wood Yard located at WestRock’s Dry Run facility.
Beginning Monday, June 24, 2024, weather permitting, the entrance will undergo re-paving operations which include milling and overlaying.

During the project’s duration, which is anticipated to span several days, commuters and residents should prepare for potential delays.
Construction activities will primarily occur between the hours of 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM.
To mitigate the inconvenience, alternative routes avoiding the construction zone are strongly advised.
However, traffic management measures will be in place, including flaggers to facilitate single-lane usage.
