COVINGTON, VA (LOOTPRESS) – Paving set to begin in Covington on Wednesday may cause some delays for motorists.
According to the City of Covington, beginning Wednesday, June 26, 2024, the city will commence road construction in front of Hardee’s on South Alleghany Avenue, pending favorable weather conditions.

The project, involving milling and overlaying the pavement, is expected to cause delays from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM daily.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during these hours to avoid the construction zone.
For those who must travel through the area, traffic will be managed with flaggers directing one-lane usage.
