HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Hinton has named Megan Turner as its new City Manager. Turner, who previously served as the city’s Executive Assistant for just under a year, officially stepped into the role this month.
Turner replaces the previous City Manager Cris Meadows who took over as City Manager for Oak Hill.

During her time as Executive Assistant, Turner earned a reputation as a trusted leader, demonstrating strong organizational skills, dedication to public service, and a deep commitment to the community.
City officials say her close work with staff and leadership has prepared her to guide Hinton into its next chapter of growth and development.
“I am honored to serve as Hinton’s City Manager,” Turner said. “This community has so much potential, and I am excited to continue working with our citizens, businesses, and partners to build on the progress we’ve made. Together, we can create a bright future for Hinton.”
As City Manager, Turner will oversee daily operations, support ongoing projects, and focus on strengthening communication, community engagement, and development initiatives.
City leaders say her leadership will help advance Hinton’s goals while maintaining the small-town values that define the community.
Mayor Jack Scott praised Turner’s appointment, stating, “Megan has proven herself as an invaluable member of our team. Her professionalism, passion, and vision for Hinton make her the right choice to lead our city forward.”
