HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Hinton has announced it will sell several surplus vehicles to the public through a sealed-bid process.
According to a public notice, the city is offering a 2023 Ram 2500 Tradesman with approximately 10,000 miles, a 2008 JHNS street sweeper that is not operational, three 2009 Gillig buses with seating capacities ranging from 26 to 32 passengers, and one additional 2009 Gillig bus that is fully broken down.
Also included are a 2017 Ford Explorer police cruiser with about 95,000 miles and a 1991 International dump truck that is still running and located at the city’s sewer plant.
All vehicles will be sold “as-is” and “where-is,” with no warranties expressed or implied. The city said inspection opportunities may be available prior to purchase.
Sealed bids must be submitted to the Office of the City Manager by 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026.
