MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Morgantown has announced the appointment of Bradley Riffee as the new Director of Communications and Jonathan Furgison as the new Director of Finance.
Jonathan Furgison began his role on Monday, July 15, while Bradley Riffee is set to start on Monday, August 19.
Riffee holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Fairmont State University and has served as the Executive Director of the United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties since 2020.
In this role, he developed a community development plan to enhance the organization’s marketing and outreach, managed over 3,000 donors, and focused on growth initiatives.
Furgison, a Certified Public Accountant, earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary engineering and management, and a master’s degree in business administration from Clarkson University.
He has been with Mon Health System since 2022, most recently serving as Interim Accounting Manager, where he oversaw financial reporting, ledger management, reconciliation, and tax compliance.
City Manager Kim Haws expressed enthusiasm about the new appointments.
“It’s incredibly exciting to have Jon and Brad join our team. Their skills and backgrounds make both of them an excellent fit for their respective roles, and I am confident they will bring tremendous value to our City administration,” Haws said.
