BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Beckley has announced that the schedule for the Coffee and Tea Celebration set to occur this weekend has been adjusted in anticipation of potentially disagreeable weather conditions.
The event, initially scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 11:00am to 2:00pm will now begin at 1:00pm and run until 3:00pm along the streets of downtown Beckley as well as within downtown businesses.
Several businesses will be open for the celebration, along with food trucks which will be set up along the streets. The Fruits of Labor Cafe will generously allow for some non-food/drink booths and performers to set up inside their establishment and will also offer seating for guests at the event to enjoy samples inside.
The only location for tickets during the event will be the Raleigh Playhouse & Theatre box office, which will offer 5 sample tickets and a People’s Choice voting coin for $5. Vendors at the event will offer larger portions of drinks and food items.
“We hope that the community will attend this event and support these vendors and performers,” says Jill Moorefield of Beckley Events. “We are hoping that most of the rain will be moving out of our area at this time, but you might bring an umbrella just in case.”
The car show scheduled to take place has reportedly been cancelled.
