WVU Tech 81, Washington Adventist 70
Beckley – Tamon Scruggs scored 23 points as the WVU Tech men extended their winning streak to eight games with an 81-70 win over Washington Adventist Wednesday night in Beckley.
The Golden Bears led 35-27 at the break and withstood a 36-point effort from Mastadi Pitt to pull out the win. Â Thomas Hailey was stellar on the boards for Tech, hauling in 15 rebounds to go along with 15 points. Ashton Parker and Gunner Short scored 11 and 15 points, respectively, for the Golden Bears.
The Golden Bears improve to 11-2 and will host University of the Cumberlands on Saturday.
