PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Residents of Mercer County are invited to attend a Community Town Hall on Food Access this Friday, May 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Mercer County 4-H Camp.
Hosted by the Mercer County Coalition for Healthy Communities in partnership with Nourishing Networks, the event aims to address the challenges of food deserts and barriers to nutritious food in the region.
The town hall will include group discussions, storytelling, and opportunities to connect with local food organizations and service providers. Lunch will be provided.
Nourishing Networks, a statewide organization focused on food insecurity, will share regional data and help guide discussions on practical, local solutions.
“This is more than a conversation—it’s a chance to bring residents, service providers, and advocates into the same room to shape the future of food access in our community,” said Candace Harless of the Mercer County Coalition for Healthy Communities.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Attendees are encouraged to register in advance at facebook.com/MercerCountyCoalitionforHealthyCommunities.
