ATHENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Concord University 2024 Homecoming candidates have been announced along with the organizations they are representing.
Each year, student organizations at Concord University compete amongst one another for the Homecoming Royalty crowns. This entails facing off in various events with entries based on the Homecoming theme for the given year. The Concord University 2024 theme is “board games.”
Eight Concord student organizations represented by four teams receive nominations for the crown of Homecoming Royalty. This year’s candidates as announced by Concord University are Kenzie Franson, Henry Wallace, Taylor Glancy, Brooke (Madison) Sears, Ariana Mooney, Katie Howard, Ashton Huffman, and Jonny Sweeney.
The Concord University 2024 Homecoming organizations and candidates are as follows:
OPERATION TEAM
Nominated by Alpha Psi Omega and Concord Music Association is Ariana Mooney from Rainelle, WV, and Kenzie Franson from Winfield, WV.
MONOPOLY TEAM
Nominated by Alpha Sigma Alpha and Student Veterans Association is Brooke (Madison) Sears from Beckley, WV and Henry Wallace from Athens, WV.
CLUE TEAM
Nominated by Sigma Sigma Sigma and PATCH is Taylor Glancy from St. Albans, WV and Jonny
Sweeney from Summersville, WV.
THE GAME OF LIFE TEAM
Nominated by Delta Zeta and Tau Kappa Epsilon is Katie Howard from Madison, WV and Ashton
Huffman from Athens, WV.
Participating teams will be judged on billboards, banners, t-shirts, costumes, community service events, lip sync, and decorated vehicles. The Homecoming coronation event will be held at halftime during the Saturday, October 19, 2024, football.
