Since 2019, Giving Day has been an annual tradition at Concord, offering supporters an opportunity to contribute to the institution through the Concord University Foundation.
This year’s theme is “Together, we are the Concord story.”
“Giving Day is such a special time for Concord. As an alumna and now the manager of the Concord Fund, it means a lot to see our community come together to support students. The generosity and excitement we see each year remind me why Concord is such a special place, and I’m so grateful to be part of it,” Manager of Annual Giving Ashley Ward said.
Assistant Professor of Social Work Samantha Byrd, a 2016 graduate, shared her personal motivation for contributing.
“I give on Giving Day because Concord University has shaped my life in many ways. First as a community member, then a student, and now as an employee. I’ve seen how CU’s mission to transform lives, enrich communities, and prepare leaders comes to life every day. Giving back ensures future students and our region continue to thrive.”
Funds raised will support The Concord Fund, which focuses on access and affordability, campus projects, and areas of greatest need.
Donations may be made online at givingday.concord.edu or by mail at CU Foundation, PO Box 1405, Athens, WV 24712.
Pledges and matching gifts are also being accepted by emailing foundation@concord.edu. For more information, contact Ashley Ward at adward@concord.edu or (304) 384-5368.
