ATHENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – U.S. News and World Report has released its annual ranking for colleges and universities on a national scale for the year 2025.
Concord University was ranked highly among colleges and universities throughout West Virginia, coming in at number two in rankings for Best Regional Universities South, Top Public Schools, and Best Schools for Social Work, respectively.
Concord claimed the top spot in U.S. News and World Report rankings for Best Online Master’s in Education Programs, while being awarded a number three ranking for Top Performers in Social Mobility.
These rankings are issued as a means of connecting high-school graduates with traditional four-year programs throughout the United States. Taken into account for these determinations are factors such as academic reputation, cost of attendance, return on investment, and more.
Top-ranking schools, based on statistics, offered adequate resources for faculty and students in the classroom; conferred a high rate of bachelor’s degrees; and produced graduates who came into the workforce with a manageable level of debt and starting salaries which could be considered worthwhile.
