BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The first Regular Session meeting of the Raleigh County Commission was held on Tuesday and saw approval of a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for Raleigh County employees.
The agenda item, presented in the agenda as “Consideration of a COLA (Cost of Living Adjustment,) saw discussion near the end of Tuesday’s meeting, and entailed a proposed $541.42 grant for each employee of the county.
This amount, according to Raleigh County Commission President Dave Tolliver, would equate to a $500 grant for each employee when accounting for deduction of taxes. A motion to approve the grant was seconded and the motion saw passage through the commission.
There were no budget revision presented to members of the commission for consideration during this particular session, as well as no exonerations, cancellations, refunds, or personal property issues for discussion.
