CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A couple has been arrested after jumping a woman who was walking to Family Dollar.
According to a criminal complaint, on Friday, June 14, 2024, at around 12:50 PM, Charleston Police was dispatched to an assault that had occurred in the area of 800 Indian Avenue in Charleston.
The victim told police that 31-year-old Amber Dylan and her boyfriend 34-year-old Dustin Hager had jumped her while walking toward Family Dollar.
Police responded to both the Family Dollar and the victim’s home address.
Police located the suspects at Family Dollar while police talked to the victim at her residence.
The victim stated to police that she was in the parking lot of 800 Indiana Avenue when she saw Amber and her boyfriend Dustin.
The victim alleged that the couple instantly grabbed her hair started punching her and took her to the ground.
While on the ground, the victim stated she grabbed her firearm and attempted to strike Amber to defend herself.
Before grabbing her gun, the victim stated Dustin jumped up and stated “I am not touching her!”
At this time, the victim stated that a male had come out of the business and told them to leave.
Police observed injuries and bleeding on the victim’s face along with a laceration under the victim’s right eye.
The complaint stated that police were dispatched to the same address in April about Amber threatening to beat up the victim.
Both Amber Dylan and Dustin Hager were arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding. They are currently at South Central Regional Jail.
