LOGAN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Early Sunday morning, the Logan Fire Department responded to assist the Main Island Creek Volunteer Fire Department in combating a house fire on Steele Street.
The call came in at 1:04 a.m. regarding a structure fire at 51 Steele Street, with reports of possible entrapment.
Logan Fire dispatched an engine company and a squad company to the scene.
En route, crews were informed by a West Virginia State Police unit that all occupants had safely evacuated the residence.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a large two-story home fully engulfed in flames. Working alongside the Main Island Creek VFD, the Logan team was able to bring the fire under control quickly.
Emergency medical services checked one juvenile at the scene, who was released shortly after without needing further treatment.
