FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – This morning, a vehicle fire on Route 60 at the top of Gauley Mountain was swiftly extinguished thanks to the combined efforts of the Ansted and Gauley Bridge fire departments.
The fire involved a BMW that was fully engulfed in flames when first responders arrived on the scene.
Ansted Fire Department’s Rescue 114, led by Captain Sears and staffed by three firefighters, joined forces with Gauley Bridge units Tower 80 and Engine 85.
Despite the stubborn nature of the fire, the teams successfully brought it under control using high-expansion foam.
Fayette County Sheriff Shannon Morris, Jan Care, and Logan’s Towing also provided assistance during the incident.
