Twin Falls – Jacob Dowdy and Charlotte McGinnis took first in the boys and girls Coalfield Conference meet Wednesday at Twin Falls State Park.
On the boys side the Tigers were virtually unchallenged with Jaedan Holstein taking second.
Dowdy’s win was a dominant one as he finished in 16 minutes and 52 seconds, 45 whole seconds ahead of Holstein and 70 seconds ahead of third-place finisher Alex Irvin of Nicholas County.
On the girls side McGinnis was equally as dominant, finishing 36 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Natalie Barr of Nicholas County.
On the middle school boys portion of the event Pineville’s Lucas Kennedy beat PikeView’s Tyler Huffman by two seconds to claim the individual crown while Shady Middle’s Bre Crouse (first) and Raelyn Carr (second) took the top two spots, finishing well ahead of Independence’s Lacey Goodson, who finished third.
In the team portions the Shady High boys and Middle School teams swept three of the events while Richwood took the girls high school event.
