BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Hundreds of Beckley residents made their way out to Cross Point Church on Wednesday for the organization’s annual Trunk or Treat event.
The festive event ran from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday and saw a line of attendees wrap around the church building in anticipation of the extravagantly decorated trunks, and of course the treats, to come.
Participants handing out candy to young treaters went to great lengths to perfect the spooky themes of their respective trunks. Featured themes included everything from Beetlejuice and Shrek to McDonald’s, pirates, and everything in between.
Once the rounds of candy collection were completed, many treaters in attendance took to the Cross Point Church playground area to socialize and enjoy the festivities with their peers.

Raleigh County Trick-or-Treaters will don their costumes once more on Thursday as the county and City of Beckley observe Trick-or-Treat hours from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Motorists throughout the area are encouraged to exercise extra caution during this time as youngsters and their families are expected to be navigating local streets and roadways while making their way from house to house for sugary treats.
