Stephen Curry leads the Golden State Warriors in a 123-108 away game win against the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Warriors are now 33-32 and one step closer to gaining their spot in the National Basketball Association (NBA) Playoffs. While tonight’s win greatly helps the Warrior with their chances at getting into this year’s Playoffs, the Pelicans are not likely to get in the Playoffs or the play-in tournament.
Tonight’s game started with the Pelicans trailing for most of the first half, eventually pulling back to 66-54 at the beginning of halftime. The team came back and stayed within a good distance for much of the second half, but, in the end, they couldn’t keep up with the scoring pace the Warriors brought.
Curry had yet another amazing night, with his thirty-third 30-point game of this season, and ninth 40-point game of the season. He is currently the lead scorer in the NBA this season.
Curry finished the night with 41 points, eight assists, and four rebounds.
While the Pelicans struggled in the game, power forward Zion Williamson still managed to have an exceptional game with 32 points, eight rebounds, and one assist.
These teams will meet again tomorrow, Tuesday, May 4, at 8 p.m. on the Pelican’s home court.
