BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Members of the Raleigh County Commission assembled for the commission’s Regular Session meeting which saw discussion of a number of agenda items pertaining to county funding.
Tuesday’s session saw consideration by the commission of a cyber security grant from the West Virginia State and Local Cyber Security Grant Program.
The grant was considered in the amount of $23,380, and would be utilized for the development of cyber infrastructure for the county, as Commissioner Greg Duckworth explained during Tuesday’s meeting.
“This is a really great grant from West Virginia Homeland Security. It’s going to be worth $23,380,” said Duckworth. “The county does a10% match, which is $2338.00. It’s going to shape up our computer infrastructure and it’s a great thing for the county.”
A motion for consideration was seconded and the agenda item saw passage through the commission.
ALso up for consideration during the meeting was pay request #19 for the Clear Fork Trail Rail Trail Project, an item which was approved in the amount of $26,913.
