FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A small fire broke out on the roof of the Dairy Queen in Fayetteville Friday evening due to a malfunction with the heating system.
The fire was quickly extinguished, but the resulting smoke filled the building’s vents, causing concerns for the safety of staff and customers.
As a precaution, the restaurant closed for the remainder of the night to allow the fumes to clear.
In a Facebook post, Fayetteville Dairy Queen management assured customers that the situation was handled and that the restaurant would reopen on schedule Saturday morning.
