DANESE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Danese Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad announced Tuesday the unfortunate passing of DVFD Assistant Chief Jamie Bennett
Bennett, an active member of the department for nearly three decades, filled multiple roles during his time within the organization. These included those Chief, Assistant Chief, Captain, and Lieutenant.
“It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our Assistant Chief, Jamie Bennett,” said Danese Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad in a statement.
“He was an active member of our department for 27 years… Jamie was a truly amazing person and the world is worse for his loss. Please join us in heartfelt condolences and prayers for his family and friends.”
The circumstances surrounding Assistant Chief Bennett’s passing have not been disclosed at the time of writing. Community members have extended their thoughts and prayers to family, friends, and members of the department during this difficult time.
