LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The 17th Annual Lewisburg Chocolate Festival will take place on Friday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Lewisburg, offering a variety of sweet treats, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
Attendees can sample a wide range of chocolate treats, including jalapeño hot chocolate, chocolate-covered bacon, avalanche cookies, blondie brownies with chocolate drizzle, ChocoVine Double Dutch Dark Chocolate Dessert Wine, and white chocolate bark with cranberries, pistachios, and almonds.

Live entertainment will feature 2nd Block Rock and Lee Dean performing as Sinatra.
Additional performances include El Gleno Grande, also known as “The Horse Guy,” and Marcus Fioravante of Gum Store Studios, who will be dressed as the Chocolate King on stilts.
The festival will include several interactive events, such as:
- The Chocolate Chase, hosted by WV Hospice (registration available at VisitLewisburgWV.com)
- Chef demonstrations by Chef Jean Francois of The Greenbrier and Chef Pablo Rodriguez of The Homestead
- A chocolate tempering demo by KevBot Chocolate
- The Mousse Eating Contest, hosted by the Lewisburg Rotary Club
- Storytelling performances by Greenbrier Valley Theatre, featuring Always Keep Your Lion on a Leash
- A pet adoption event by the Humane Society at Academy Park
Additionally, Sheena Pendley’s studio will offer complimentary Candyland-themed photos, and face painting by Nicole Suptic will be available on Court Street for $8+.
Most festival events are free to attend. Tasting tickets can be purchased online until Thursday, April 10, at 11:59 p.m., with limited availability for day-of purchases. Most attendees purchase 20-25 tickets per person.
This year’s festival supports the Greenbrier Historical Society, which has helped with ticket distribution and volunteer coordination.
A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the society, which preserves the history of the Greenbrier Valley, including Monroe, Greenbrier, Pocahontas, and Nicholas counties.
