CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Delegate Chris Pritt (R-Kanawha) has announced his candidacy for the West Virginia State Senate.
Pritt officially announced his candidacy Monday morning.
Pritt says the state must move in a more conservative direction consistent with the will of the people.
“Today I announce my run for the West Virginia State Senate. West Virginia is one the top two states for conservative values. We voted for Donald Trump at a greater margin than every other state but one,” Pritt said.
“Despite the efforts of many conservative legislators, we often get bills that are watered down, Republican-lite, and even left of center. This must change”
Pritt will compete for a seat in West Virginia’s 17th Senatorial District.
“I represent the Republican wing of the Republican party. My voting record in the senate will be consistent with these values,” Pritt explained.
“We have not banned critical race theory. We allow discrimination in our public schools against parents and students who have firmly held religious objections to vaccinations.”
“We’ve never had a committee vote on eliminating DEI in higher education. We need to take more aggressive steps to eliminate the income tax.”
“As one of the most conservative states we need to be a leader on conservative issues. Having a vote in the West Virginia Senate, I’ll be at the forefront in helping fellow senators move our state in a more conservative direction.”
