FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Elliott Pritt, a Republican representing Fayette County, has officially filed to run for reelection to the West Virginia House of Delegates in the 50th District, which includes a significant portion of Fayette County.
In announcing his campaign for a third term, Pritt said he views his role in the Legislature as a serious responsibility and described serving Fayette County residents as an honor.
“Working for the people I represent and trying to improve their lives even in small ways has been an honor; I take this responsibility seriously,” Pritt said.
Pritt said he has committed his full effort to the position and emphasized that his focus has remained on the needs of Fayette County throughout his time in office.
“I have given this everything I have and all the effort I can give. I truly mean that. I have walked into that capitol building every day with the people of Fayette County as my first and foremost concern above anything else,” he said.
Highlighting accomplishments from his time in office, Pritt cited infrastructure projects, job growth efforts, public education reforms, expansion of vocational programs, and work on issues affecting daily life for county residents.
“We have accomplished so much together: infrastructure projects, protecting our families and values, expanding jobs and opportunity, sweeping reforms to public education, expanding vocational programs, and working on dealing with every day issues that impact our citizens here in Fayette County,” he said.
Pritt asked for continued support as the campaign moves forward.
“I would be honored to have your vote and your trust for a third term,” he said. “I ask for your prayers and support this year.”
He also emphasized accessibility to constituents, saying, “I am proud to represent each of you. If you ever need anything, my office is always open.”
