CHARLES TOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Charles Town is in mourning on Friday in the wake of the sudden passing of a Jefferson County officer.
Ann announcement of the unfortunate news came on Friday morning when the Charleston Police Department confirmed the sudden passing of Sergeant Benjamin Anderson.
An evening shift supervisor with the CTPD who brought along 17 years of experience, Anderson is said to have excelled in the de-escalation of volatile situations through his physical presence and calm demeanor.
The Charles Town Police Department also made note of Anderson’s proclivity for good humor and pranks within the workplace, declaring, “Ben will be sorely missed by his co-workers.”
Authorities have not explicitly confirmed the cause of the law enforcement officer’s passing, and members of the public have been asked to keep Sgt. Anderson’s family in their thoughts and prayers following his sudden passing.
