(LOOTPRESS) – Disney announced Monday that Jimmy Kimmel Live! will return to ABC’s broadcast network on Tuesday, less than a week after the show was suspended.
The network pulled the late-night program after host Jimmy Kimmel made comments linking the alleged killer of conservative activist Charlie Kirk to President Donald Trump’s MAGA movement.

“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive,” Disney said in a statement Monday.
“We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”
Kimmel is expected to address the matter during Tuesday’s taping, according to a person familiar with the situation.
The decision to bring the show back was made by Disney CEO Bob Iger and Dana Walden, co-chair of Disney Entertainment, after several days of discussions, the person said. The two executives informed Kimmel on Monday, the person added.
