GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Greenbrier County woman was arrested early Thursday morning following a reported domestic disturbance involving both her husband and her juvenile daughter.
According to the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched around 4:11 a.m. on January 30, 2026, to a residence on Teaberry Hollow Lane after 911 received a report that Linda Morgan had assaulted her husband, Glenn Morgan, and her daughter, identified as G.M., a minor.
When a deputy arrived at the home, yelling could be heard coming from inside. Authorities say Linda Morgan exited the residence shouting about a lack of firewood. Inside the home, deputies observed G.M. backing away from her mother in an apparent attempt to avoid further confrontation.
Linda Morgan was detained and placed in a patrol vehicle while deputies spoke with the other occupants. Glenn Morgan told deputies the argument had been ongoing throughout the evening, centered around complaints of no food or firewood in the home. He stated the situation escalated when Linda Morgan allegedly shoved him onto a bed.
G.M. told deputies she had been on her phone when her mother entered the room and began yelling, believing she was calling 911. The juvenile reported that Linda Morgan struck her on the back of the head and took her phone. G.M. then contacted 911 using a house phone. She also reported that a similar physical incident had occurred about a week earlier.
Following the investigation, Linda Morgan was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery and Child Abuse resulting in risk of injury. The case remains under investigation.
