DANVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A New Year’s Day investigation into a domestic situation has resulted in the arrest of one individual who now faces multiple charges.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Department indicates that on January 1, 2023, authorities with the department responded to the Price Branch area of Danville to investigate reports of a domestic situation said to involve a baseball bat.
Upon the arrival of Boone County deputies at the Price Branch residence in question, a male suspect fled the scene, taking cover in a wooded area near the residence at which point authorities gave chase.
A foot pursuit into the woods ensued, concluding with the successful capture of the suspect by deputies on the scene.
The individual leading police on the foot chase was determined to be Samuel “Kurt” Nunnery, 44 years old of Danville, WV. It was also determined that Nunnery was the subject of an existing burglary warrant, which likely factored into the decision to flee upon the arrival of authorities.
Nunnery was arrested following the pursuit, and has been charged with fleeing on foot, obstruction, and the aforementioned burglary warrant.
